You'll find two caps on the bottom of each side of the toilet you will have to pop those off with a flat head screw driver & take your crescent wrench and loosen and take the nuts off each side that you popped the finish caps off.



Step Six REPLACING A TOILET - WATER SUPPLY



Disconnect the water supply line that connects to the toilet.  If that angle stop and supply line seem to be outdated this is the time to replace it. In that case I would think of getting in contact with any nearby Plumber.



STEP 7 Exchanging A TOILET - REMOVE WATER



You will now want to make sure that all the water if taken out of the toilet you may use a mug,  but if you have a hand pump which is the best way to go. Whenever water is removed now you may lift the toilet up while keeping it level and carry it out of your house or business.  Any time you do not keep it level water will trickle on to the ground because you will have water in the p-trap.



STEP 8 REPLACING A TOILET - REMOVE Old TOILET



You will want to get rid of the excess wax remaining from the previous toilet they you will need to take your closet bolts & Washers that included your wax wring & the extra pair of bolts and nuts that you got and put the bolts on the closet flange slots on each side of the flange. You'll now have an additional pair of washers & nuts to tighten new toilet down.



STEP 9 Switching A TOILET - Install NEW TOILET You can now set wax ring around the closet flange & bring in new toilet and align pit on Replacing a Water Heatertoilet to bolts you recently placed.  Quickly as you have put toilet down you'll want to sit down on the toilet and rock back and forth with your weight slightly to really get that wax wring to set so you have absolutely no leaks. You will now use those additional bolts & tighten new toilet down.  You will want to go back and forth on each side and tighten up the bolts a bit more at a time to be sure the toilet sets level.



STEP 10 Exchanging A TOILET - SUPPLY LINE & BOLT CAPS



You now will be able to set the finish caps onto the bolts you just tightend down this is to disguise the screws to make to toilet to look polished off.  You then may attach water supply & turn the water on. Make sure you flush a few times to make sure that things are functioning properly before you caulk the base of the toilet given that that will become a mess. If all is working properly go on and caulk the bottom of the toilet and let it dry for an hour and you're good to go.
